There were 33 of us who enjoyed the abundance of snow in Lake Louise this past weekend. It was -22C in Calgary Friday morning, but in Lake Louise we were greeted with a balmy -5C. Saturday and Sunday were colder, but we were still able to ski. Trails done were Great Divide with Lower Telemark loops, Fairview, Moraine Lake Rd, Tramline, Campground and Pipestone. There was so much fresh snow - and it continued to fall - that the groomers couldn't keep up. It was a nice problem to have. We were reminded this weekend of the importance of skiing with a group, and paying heed to the 4-person rule. What could have turned into a very serious incident was handled safely. Saturday Happy Hour was a lively affair as we all recounted our adventures of the day. A special "Thank You" to the members who helped us lead skis - Jim Baillies, Elaine Bouey, Dawn Giffen, Audrey H'lady, Barb Lake, Sally Luttmer and Lee Workun. Thanks to all of you for making our weekend a success! It was fun. John and Margaret Morck
